SABIAN AAX Promotional Set
The AAX Promotional Set delivers a refined tonal character marked by brighter highs and more complex lows across the frequency spectrum. The distinctive AAX hammering technique—featuring a larger, rounder peen—creates thinner cymbals with noticeably more depth and nuance than traditional designs. In the studio or live room, this set strikes the balance between cutting clarity and sonic sophistication that modern production demands.
Studio Tonal Character & Mix Placement
The set’s construction emphasizes a wider frequency band, with crispy highs that cut through dense arrangements while the lows gain complexity and resonance for layered production. The 14″ Medium Hi-Hats, paired 16″ and 18″ Thin Crashes, and 21″ Medium Ride are sonically matched and individually tested for compatibility, ensuring a cohesive cymbal voice across recording sessions and multitrack arrangements.
Build & Materials
All cymbals are cast from B20 bronze, the professional-grade alloy standard in high-end cymbal manufacturing. The Brilliant finish provides both visual clarity and tonal brightness, while individual weights—ranging from 920g on the 16″ Crash to 2395g on the 21″ Ride—deliver the response and sustain characteristics appropriate to each cymbal’s role in the mix.
