SABIAN 18″ HHX Overture
The HHX Overture cymbal delivers quick articulation and commanding presence without sacrificing warmth or introducing harshness into your recordings. Hand-hammered construction produces responsive, easy-to-play cymbals that cut through dense mixes while maintaining musical character. Engineered for studio sessions, overdub work, and live-to-tape recording, these cymbals bridge professional production demands with accessibility for engineers and players of all experience levels.
Construction & Material
B20 bronze combined with traditional hand-hammering techniques creates a cymbal that speaks clearly and projects with authority in the studio environment. The medium-to-medium-heavy weight class delivers sufficient mass for definition and presence while remaining manageable during extended tracking and layering sessions.
Tone & Recording Character
These cymbals achieve excellent definition and presence on tape with warm character and no harshness—essential for studio work where clarity cannot come at the expense of musical tone. Quick articulation and clear definition make them ideally suited for both overdub sessions and live recording where the cymbal sound must remain prominent within layered instrumental arrangements without fighting other sources.
