SABIAN 22″ Artisan Medium Ride
The 22″ Artisan Medium Ride captures a glassy, well-defined stick click over an aggressive, dark-edged tone that sits with intensity in the recording. This cymbal balances crisp articulation with rich traditional character, making it equally responsive for defined ride patterns and powerful crash applications in the studio. The raw bell design and high-density hand hammering produce a piercing bell tone that cuts through any mix without sacrificing musicality.
Tone & Sonic Character
Built from Sabian B20 alloy (80% bronze, 20% copper with traces of silver), this cymbal produces dark, complex tones with a crisp stick sound and bubbling undercurrent of dirty tone on tape. The Masterpiece finish from fire-refined B20 bronze enhances projection and tonal clarity in recordings, while the high-density hand hammering creates the intensity and definition that makes this ride excel in rock, hip-hop, R&B, and jazz sessions.
Construction & Durability
Weighing 2941 grams and classified as Medium weight, this cymbal offers responsive articulation without sacrificing durability through extended tracking and live sessions. The raw bell design and meticulous hand-hammering process ensure consistent performance and longevity across projects, backed by SABIAN’s two-year warranty against manufacturing flaws.
