JBL CSS8004 4″ Ceiling Speaker
The JBL CSS8004 is a compact ceiling-mounted speaker designed for distributed audio systems in commercial and institutional installations. Its flush-mount form factor and pre-assembled construction make it straightforward to integrate into drop-ceiling environments without requiring extensive on-site assembly or calibration.
Audio Performance
With a 4-inch dual-cone driver delivering 90 dB sensitivity and a frequency response spanning 85 Hz to 18 kHz, this speaker reproduces speech and music intelligibly across occupied spaces. The 175° coverage pattern ensures consistent sound distribution throughout typical room layouts without dead zones or excessive spillover.
Design & Build
The speaker features a 5-watt multi-tap transformer that accommodates 100V, 70V, and 25V distributed loudspeaker lines, eliminating the need for separate impedance matching hardware. Its zinc-plated, cold-rolled steel grille, 25 mm voice coil with Kapton coil-former, and 3.7-inch installation depth combine durability with low-profile ceiling integration, while the pre-assembled design minimizes field labor.
