The JBL 4739 is the low-frequency foundation engineered for full-range studio monitoring and high-output recording applications. This dual-15 bass cabinet delivers the controlled, articulate bottom end required for accurate mix translation, critical listening, and stage-reinforcement work—a purpose-built component designed to integrate seamlessly with matching mid and high-frequency sections to create a complete monitoring array.
Low-Frequency Performance
Dual 265H-2 differential-drive woofers with edgewound ribbon voice coils operate in a tuned 4509 LF enclosure, producing a sensitivity of 104 dB SPL (2.83 V / 1 m) with extended bass response down to 30 Hz. This cabinet handles 500 W at 44.5 V or 800 W at 56.5 V, providing the dynamic headroom needed for capturing and mixing demanding material while maintaining tight transient response and controlled cone movement—essential for revealing the true character of kick drums, bass guitar, and synth foundations in the mix.
Integration & Studio Workflow
A 4 ohm nominal impedance (minimum 3.3 ohms at 230 Hz) ensures compatibility with standard studio amplifier networks and monitor controller setups. Push-terminal binding posts allow reliable connection for session-critical work, while compact dimensions (883 × 762 × 450 mm) enable flexible placement in control rooms and live tracking spaces. This component is designed exclusively as the bass section of JBL ScreenArray systems (3732T, 3733, 4722, 4722N, 4732, 4732T)—a dedicated M/HF or HF top section must be purchased separately.
