Measuring just 2.875 x 8.625 x 10.5 inches (HWD), this 5.7-pound device belies its convenient and compact size by providing big, exciting performance and a robust 55Wpc output. Wireless streaming via Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, and more is on board. Ditto DSD and 32-bit/384kHz PCM capability. And YPAO room calibration that helps dial in the sound for your room.

Ideal for listeners who don’t need a plethora of analog inputs and whose real estate options might be limited, the Roon-ready WXA-70A features an ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M DAC on Yamaha’s Pure Ground configuration to breeze by the setup found in conventional DACs. This approach creates a clean environment for the delicate analog signals and results in levels of purity, clarity, and realism normally outside the range of products in this price range.

Controllable via Yamaha’s MusicCast app, WXA-70A stakes its claim to modern versatility. MusicCast multi-room audio for whole-house expansion and HDMI eARC/ARC connectivity for your TV demonstrate the flexibility on offer. An adjustable dialogue level control even enhanced vocal transparency, making conversations and commentary during shows, sporting events, and movies easy to hear without the need of having to boost the overall volume. In addition, a dedicated IR input supports direct hook-up to compatible control systems while a 12V trigger synchronizes power control across your entire ecosystem.

Housed in a rigid aluminum chassis distinguished with elegant curves and vibration-resistant materials, WXA-70A also comes with an RCA analog input, LAN port, USB-A input, remote input, and gold-plated speaker terminals. A subwoofer output gives you even more choices. Sold with a remote, batteries, power cable, and YPAO microphone, WXA-70A is a smart, cost-conscious way to access unlimited music in terrific fidelity.
