Includes the tracks “Andy Griffith,” “Gunsmoke,” and “Whiskey Colored Crayon.” The 10-song set is accompanied by the new single “All Outta You,” which McCubbin co-wrote with Shane Minor. McCubbin described the song as suited to “a lonely motel room or a midnight drive” and said its “dark, grungy edge” reflects his taste for sad country music.

McCubbin and Cobb recorded 650 live to tape at Thunderbolt Studios in Savannah, Georgia. McCubbin said the project draws on nearly 2,000 songs he has written, calling it “sixteen years in the making.” Its title and framing connect his childhood in a four-way-stop Ohio town with his life in Nashville, with radio serving as a recurring thread. (He listened to a local station that later employed him after high school and picked up WSM’s Nashville signal in his grandfather’s garage.)
