Cool it now. The homie Benedek coming through with the butter smooth modern funk fusion to make you move all wavy-like. For Voices (his debut 12″ on the ever-funky Arcane label), the LA-based producer lays down 5 chilled-out groovers that combine funk, boogie, new age, jazz, fusion, and more. Check the slo-mo funk of “Voices,” the steady grooving stepper “Coolin,” the left field house excursion “Afterglo,” the breezy “Ryukyu,” and the ambient leaning “Angelus Vista.” Many of the tracks were previously cassette-only joints from Coolin, and we are beyond stoked to have them on proper 12″. Strictly for the chillers. Limited press, don’t miss!
