There should be more Egyptian Lover covers in this world. On their debut album, Soul Clap covered EL’s “Alezby Inn” and here they’ve spun it off into a remix single. In human centipede fashion, the duo enlisted Egyptian Lover to remix the cover (somewhere a Herb Albert record turned into a Skull Snaps)! Additionally, I’ve never heard of Nick Monaco, but his remix is super-sick: low-slung, super-restrained, and potent. B-side features Night Plane’s remix of “Ecstasy” (also a winner) and John Camp’s remix of “Need Your Lovin” (aka Korgis oft-covered “Everybody’s Got To Learn”).
