Sound & Tone
The solid Thermal Spruce top over solid Flame Maple back and sides gives this NEX cutaway a warm but tightly focused voice, with clear note separation, strong projection and long sustain rather than a loose, boomy low end. That balance suits fingerstyle playing and detailed chord work as much as strummed accompaniment, and the maple neck with striped ebony fingerboard and 42.5mm nut keeps the feel responsive for players moving across the neck. Plugged in, the TLD-2 system with Takamine’s Palathetic undersaddle pickup tracks that acoustic character closely, making it a practical choice for stage and studio work in singer-songwriter and contemporary settings.
Takamine EF450C TTT BB Acoustic Guitar with Semi-Hard Case
The EF450C TT TBB is a sophisticated cutaway acoustic engineered for studio sessions and live recording work. The NEX cutaway body delivers comfortable upper-fret access without compromising the resonance of a full-size instrument, while the elegant Transparent Black Burst finish with mother-of-pearl inlays presents a polished appearance in any tracking environment. This is a professional-grade instrument designed for producers and recording musicians seeking reliable performance and tonal character.
Tone & Construction
The combination of solid Thermal Spruce top and solid Flame Maple back and sides produces a warm, balanced tone with excellent projection and sustain—characteristics that translate clearly through microphones and direct capture methods. The TLD-2 electronics system paired with a Takamine Palathetic undersaddle pickup captures that acoustic character faithfully for both DI tracking and amplified recording setups, making this guitar versatile across studio applications.
Playability & Feel
The 42.5mm nut width and 20-fret Striped Ebony fingerboard mounted on a Maple neck provide a comfortable, responsive playing surface with excellent intonation—crucial for precise tracking and overdub sessions. Gold die-cast tuners with white buttons deliver reliable tuning stability throughout long recording days, supporting the consistent performance required in professional studio work.
