SABIAN 11″ AAX MAX SPLASH V2
The AAX MAX SPLASH V2 delivers a sharp, cutting response with substantial volume and projection in a compact 11″ format. Designed in collaboration with Mike Portnoy to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the original Max Splash line, this cymbal combines a larger raw bell with a refined new shape for enhanced articulation and presence without sustaining a dominant fundamental pitch.
Recording & Mix Presence
The expanded raw bell and reimagined profile generate significantly more volume and cutting power compared to earlier Max Splash designs, making it effective in cutting through dense mix environments. The absence of a strong fundamental pitch allows the cymbal to function as a pure accent voice, sitting cleanly alongside other cymbals without competing for tonal space.
Specifications & Dimensions
At 11 inches in diameter and weighing approximately 323g, this splash offers manageable weight and responsive attack ideal for dynamic articulation. The compact size and moderate weight combine to deliver quick stick definition and fast decay characteristics.
