Sound & Tone
The extended baritone scale and eight-string layout push well below standard tuning while keeping low notes defined rather than muddy, and the solid body construction supports clarity and sustain throughout that range. The Fluence Reverb active pickup adds high, noise-free output with low impedance, so the signal stays articulate and consistent even under heavy distortion and modulation. It’s aimed squarely at progressive metal, djent, modern heavy rock, and experimental writing in low tunings, where string-to-string definition matters as much as low-end weight.
ESP SC BARITONE-8/BLK/FLUENCE REV
The ESP SC Baritone-8 delivers a substantial, well-balanced platform for extended-range recording and production with its longer scale length and comfortable body contours. The black finish presents a clean, professional appearance while the Fluence Reverb pickup system provides modern, articulate response across all eight strings. Built for engineers and producers who demand precision in tuning stability and tonal clarity across lower frequencies in the mix.
Design & Build for Studio Tracking
This baritone 8-string configuration extends recordable range significantly below standard tuning, essential for progressive metal, djent, and experimental compositions that require deep, controlled low-end definition. The SC body shape balances ergonomic comfort during long tracking sessions with controlled dimensions, while black hardware and finish maintain visual cohesion and reduce noise-inducing reflectivity in the recording environment.
Electronics & Recording Response
The Fluence Reverb pickup delivers high-output, noise-free response with low impedance characteristics that interface cleanly with audio interfaces and preamps, translating accurately into your DAW. This active system captures the full dynamic range across all eight strings without phase issues or unwanted artifacts common to passive configurations on extended-range instruments, ensuring consistent, articulate tracking across multiple takes.
