Coco Bryce: Love Fools Vinyl 12

On A Ragga Tip. Dutch shapeshifter Coco Bryce first jumped on the jungle train with 2015’s Massiv 01 split with FFF. Bryce brings his background in leftfield hip-hop, skweee and boogie to the rave with two slices of piano-infused breakbeat ‘ardkore in the vein of Sonz Of A Loop Da Loop Eraand 2 Bad Mice. “Love Flows” is a smoked-out roller with a deep booming808 bassline and wailing diva screeching over a pitched up “Sesame Street”break. On “Fools Gold”, Bryce conjures the uncanny badness ofShut Up And Dancewith frantic piano stabs, rave sirens, scratching and sped-up chipmunk thugs. Recommended for fans of Zomby‘s Where Were U In ’92.
